Born in Syria, later moving to the US, Dima is an accomplished professional with more than 14 years of work experience in the legal, project management, and humanitarian fields. Dima holds an electrical engineering degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University, and is a licensed US attorney. After practicing law in the United States for over five years, Dima moved into the development field, focusing on Syria and the Syrian conflict. She has been working with Syrian activists since the Syrian Uprising started in 2011, and has been a member of the Syrian Opposition since late 2011. In addition to her experience in the legal field, Dima has experience in the management of small and large programs, including strategic planning, budget management, and reporting. She has native fluency in both English and Arabic.
